I have heard that you can get a memory card to increase the capacity but not sure of this is true. If so where and how would you go about it?

It's actually easy. First you pop open the ipod. Next you carefully remove the tape holding the 2gb compactFlash card and then remove the card itself. Plug in the new 4gb compactFlash card and close it all back up.

I wouldn't do it because these kinds of personal upgrades can often lead to unstable equipment, but it is technically possible.

Dont think you can, The hard drive is sealed in the unit & taking the ipod would void the warrenty!!!
