just know that it will be a long hard process, and that she will need your friendship to make it through this very hard time in her life. try to convince her to seek help, a self help group, and maybe some spiritual counseling. this will not be an easy thing, when she is ready to talk about it, she may say the same stuff over and over again, but don't judge or refuse to listen. let her talk about it as many times as it takes to feel better about her heartache. just assure her that u know she does hurt, but there is life after divorce, that sometimes a seemingly bad thing turns out to be the thing we learn most from. good luck to your friend

You have to keep trying.
She's hurt, and possibly feels humiliated and ashamed for having been left by her husband.
Does she even know why it happened.
She may think she doesn't want to see anybody just now, but she cannot shut everyone out because she's got that small boy.
Be there for her.
If she doesn't want to talk about it, then don't.
Maybe offer to take her son out for a while so she can get her thoughts together.
Also, she might want to be active, just not to think.
Just be there for her; Check that she's alright, even if it's all you do.
She has good friends.xx

All you can do is text or phone her and let her know you are there for her, although a visit in person is always good, She will talk when she is ready this may take time every one is different , just don't give up on her. Friends are so important at this time in her life, I wish you and your friend happiness in time and a long friendship. Good luck.

just be there for her and be supportive and be able to talk when she needs someone to talk to . also give her some advice . since the loser decided to walk out on her that is known as abdonment . Tell her to get one of the most cut throat lawyer she can get and to get everything she can from this loser and leave him penniless. Maybe next time he marries someone he will think twice before leaving them . and for god sake tell her not to take him back if he should try to return. good luck to her .

I think you have to just let her go through it and reassure her that your there for her, send a text or a phone message or maybe even a card through the door! She will come round when she is ready to do so, just give her a little time especially if its all new to her.

The only thing you can do IS be there for her. Surround her with your friendship even if she protests- she truly needs it now!!!! Try getting her out on little outtings to the mall or lunch. She needs time to cry and get this out of herself- she is hurting and feels like her heart is shatterred crying is good for her but so is laughter!

You say she is detaching herself but she needs your companionship mostly, if not now soon.
