It's wrong because "taking a break" means you need time to think and re-evaluate the relationship, not "testing" out someone new.

It depends on what type of "break" it is, for example:
Say if you called the "break", then cheated. You probably weren't really on a break to begin with. You really wanted to test the waters...and now the other person has the right to be extremely hurt.
But say if you called the "break" and the other person cheated, then you would have to blame yourself for allowing them that chance to have a break.
So as I see it, whoever calls the "break" can't consider it wrong to cheat....but the other person it is called on could consider it wrong to cheat.

It breaks the creed of the particular relationship at the time. In other words a breach has been broken; even though, that breach was never mentioned it is still broken; call that breach of promise to always be true to one another.

Hehehe,.. this is quite a funny question.. becuase unless on the break u have each stated that you shouldn't go with other people.. going with other people is actually acceptable... it is sometimes why people suggest a "break" lol..

so technically it's not even cheating! lol.. i went thru this bout... 8 months ago lol.. it was all rather confusing.. but i understand now! lol

i think so if you plan on getting back together because it shows you are not guinuinely interested in that person or their feelings or you would wait for them to figure things out, on the other hand if your on a break which is leaning towards braking up completely you should talk to other peole and get to see what else you may be interested in so you know whoyuou wanna be with

I wouldn't say it's "wrong" but it I would consider it a definite sign that there is nothing left to salvage and that the break is permanent.

if the break is not a complete breakup, but just a time-out, then you should remain faithful to that person
