three months ago i broke up with a long-term boyfriend. i have not dated since, but feel like i am ready now.

is it inebitable that the next guy i date will be a short-term rebound guy?

I see a rebound guy as someone you go out with just to try to get over your ex. But, since you gave yourself some grief time--very smart of you--and you feel you're ready, I don't see this as being rebound guy. Good luck to ya!

It's not inevitable, but it is possible that it could happen. It all depends on whether or not you are still in love with your ex. If so, then it's a high chance that this date is a rebound guy.

No. I think that is a myth. The next guy you meet could be "the one". Or he may not be. But the past relationship shouldn't really have anything to do with the outcome of the next relationship. It is pretty random.

why not make sure you at least see some possibility of it going long term, or stay away from him I think

to doom a relationship before it starts seems sooooooooooo sad
