Well I am not sure I will have the best answer but I am going to try. I feel you need to tell her that when she was a child her parents were the ones to make choices and tell what to do, But when she chose to get married and have a child it became your life together they (her parents) don't live her life. She needs to tell her parents that .I am sure it doesn't help you not having a job and she might be second guessing herself if she feels you can't support your family. She also needs to tell her parents if they don't stop meddling in her life she will have to stop all contact with them. Also tell them she is a big girl who has to live and learn from her mistakes and they should be happy with the way they raised her, so to trust her judgment. Good luck .

In-laws are usually the problem. Think about it, you've taken their daughter away from them and no one is good enough for their daughter. Even if you get a job, you still won't be good enough. Prove to your ex you are good enough and that your son is THE reason to make it work. She's old enough to make her own mind up and her parents should not be that much of a factor in your relationship.

The main thing you need to do is move away from the parents to stand a chance. There is a reason why in the bible it says that a man should leave his parents and cleave to his wife.

When one run into a hornets nest the first rule is run away from the nest then apply first aid right now you are trying to apply first aid with the hornet nest still around you.

I feel you really need to take care of yourself before you think about getting your ex back...are you really ready to take care of your son with no job? In tha aspect, I see where her parent's are coming from. Get a job, get your **** together and if she is still not willing to try, then move on.

You need to take the woman you love and your child and move away.

Becoming dependant upon eachother, with only eachother to lean on and answer to, is the best way to firmly establish yourselves in your relationship and also the best way to clarify your relationship to your child.

You need to get the naysayers out of your lives.
