Does anyone have a personal experience with getting labor started? Things I can do at home. Things that may have worked for you?

I don't know personally (am 9 weeks pregnant with number one) but some of the things that I have heard from friends include having sex (chemicals in sperm soften the cervix), taking long walks, taking an enema (woked for my mom when she was pregnant with me and I was 2 weeks overdue) or stimulating your nipples. I read through everyone's advise to start your labor and was surprized that no one mentioned what my family has always known. I have seen it work personally many times. Many of my aunts and even my mother have done this to bring on labor if they were past due. All you have to do is have a slumber party of sorts. Invite your closest friends/family (women) over for an evening of laughs. I'm talking about some serious laughing. Talk about the funniest things that have happened over the years. Laugh till you can't take it anymore. It works nearly everytime... Not that night, but the next day. Good luck and have fun. Also, I wish your baby the best.
ps... I'm not a doctor, but I am a biologist; this works.

We have 9 mth old. My wife's blood pressure started to spike when she was 39 weeks and 3 cm. Our midwife said to go to the supplement store and get evening primrose oil and insert it vaginally over night, then do it again in the morning. She also suggested intercourse as the semen does have an enzyme that effaces the cervix. She was in labor a day later and we had a wonderful, healthy, home delivery, with no interventions needed (Pitosen is NOT NOT NOT the answer!)

I would like to say that riding a bumpy road or a lot of walking but, thay don't work. If the baby is do have the DOCTOR induce you
