Robert Plant would be best ever, but I agree Chris Cornell would be in the top 10.

I think Chris Cornell is an amazing vocalist. He has an amazing range and can sing a variety of styles convincingly. Some say he is wasting his talent in Audiooslave right now, and I tend to agree. I mean, I like Audioslave, and if Chris is feeling musically and creatively fulfilled there, power to him. But, it's not the best place to showcase his vocal talents. Gimme 'Badmotorfinger' any day. Best Rock Vocalist ever? Hmmm . . .if there was no Robert Plant, I'd find this argument more compelling.

he's a competent vocalist, however the music he's putting out now could be rubbish. His superb stuff became whilst he became with Soundgarden. i don't think of he's the wonderful rock vocalist. i might say that Matt Bellamy is the wonderful vocalist around on the 2nd.

A little to whiney for me.

I prefer Maynard or Robert Plant

He's good, but IMO i think Maynard James Keenan is better (Tool, A Perfect Circle).
