I am thinking about trying netflix but have heard allot about this throttling that they do. I am the kind of person who after receiving or renting movies can easiy watch several back to back and take them back the following morning.

My question is I have heard that netflix does throttle people who do that, but is that only with newer movies or older ones too? I really have little interest in renting anythign new or even from the last couple of years.

I used to rent older flicks through them andwatch them back to back, never had a problem. Within 2 days I would get my next shipment. Hope that helps.

We never had a problem with Netflix. We watch them and then send them back out the next day. We receive at best 5-6 per week, but usually it is 4 per week. Our plan is the 3 rentals plan. You can keep the movies for as long as you want but until you return it, you get no other rentals sent out.

So far in searching their title database, I have only found 2 movies that they did not have. You can even watch a TV series to catch up on episodes that you may have missed.

Try it out, if you don't like it, you can always cancel. I have not been to Blockbuster in a long time if that helps!!

Even if they do, you will still get your money's worth. Try renting 10 movies a month at blockbuster for $15.

personally I love Netflix

What do you mean by throttling?
I get movies from netflix, watch them and send them back the next morning all the time...it usually takes a day or two for them to get them and a day or two to send the next one
but i still have no idea what you mean

It doesn't matter the age of the movie, just the number you rent. They throttle it to prevent their cost of shipping charges exceeding your monthly plan cost.

I am sure they do it with any heavy user, as they pay postage each way.
