Ok, I know its pretty common to fly in your dreams. I've done it plenty of times. It has been like a floating sensation, but I had a really cool dream where I felt like I was flying really really really fast. And I have also had many dreams that I was flying around in my house, and it feels kinda realistic; it has happened about three times or so, two times i wa sin my room, and once i was in my basement. I was told this flying sensation is your spirit temporarily leaving your body. What do you think? Is my spirit flying around my house at night?

Some believe in this, its called Astral projection. To my knowledge I haven't experienced it myself, but I do believe its possible.

I never thought about others or how common it is to dream about flying. I've had this dream several times and you are right, it is so very realistic and I am truly believing I'm flying. Sometimes I went so high it scared me! I never thought anything about it, including I never even really thought about it when I was awake, until my 19 year old and her friend were talking about having this sort of dream. I quickly jumped in and exclaimed, "I've done that!" Then I even came close to following that with, "I can really fly," when I stopped and said to myself, wait a minute that was a dream.

The sensation I felt in the dream was exihilerating and I would just lift myself up and fly, fast, slow, and as mentioned, going really high, and I've been in my house also flying.

I am a very strong Christian, and have no idea what it means as I don't worry or put much thought into dreams. However, it is an interesting question and I'm curious to see how others may reply.

Regarding the answer you think might be a possibility, and again, because I am a Christian, I cannot go along with that answer, as God's word tells me that when my spirit is absent from my body, I will be with the Lord, so unless, Jesus was there flying around with me... lol

It seems like its been quite awhile since I've gone flying, but hey, I'll look for you the next time I'm flying around though! LOL

The flying sensation only suggests a feeling of freedom, and generally feeling good about yourself. No your spirit is not leaving your body.

I also have the sensation of flying in my dreams. I also find I can levitate, I can float up above danger, and go up in the air in strange air crafts that have no power. However the most amazing thing when I fly is that I can go from the air to the water or even fly through solid objects. Have you ever done that?

It is an Astral projection, most of us do this but do not remember it.
Your spirit can go anywhere , you often will go to the other side which is your real home. It is not a dangerous thing, it is natural and you will get back in the body and continue your journey on this dimension.

I wouldn't read to much in to it. I think you are just dreaming. Figure out what you are eating and/or thinking about before you go to bed. These thinks will have an affect on what you dream. Also, I would maybe read some books on the subject of dreams. There are many studies out there on the subject.

It could have been an out of body experience, astral projection or a lucid dream. Do some research and learn tocontrol them and have fun.
