just fyi this isn't the actual reason, she's actually withdrawing because of her husband problems...
"Recently, a semi-credible source in Western Germany has reported that Justine Henin-Hardenne was kidnapped yesterday by a gang of 7-foot hockey players. They have sent in her withdrawal papers to the Australian Open and plan to return her after she has taught them to be good enough at tennis to beat hated rival Amelie Mauresmo and after she takes them to meet idol Maria Sharapova."

I need to address to you very important news, unfortunately it's not good news. I have to withdraw from the Australian tournaments for personal family reasons. A new calender schedule will be made once I have decided, and I will return to you.

i am honestly fairly pleased that she has withdrawn from the upcoming australian open. the reason for this is because she made the final of all four grand slams last year (winning one), and it would be a healthy change to see a fresher face in the final of this years A-Open. According to many credible sources, the reason for her withdrawal was because of a divorce from husband Pierre-Yves Hardenne.

Justine is my favorite tennis player in this entire world I am so disappointed but I heard that she had some problems in her family

They sometimes skip the Aussie and concentrate on the other three slams...it's a shame, because that somewhat diminishes the Aussie field.

While it won't make you laugh, the reason is very simple. It has been reported that she's considering retirement. I first heard that during last years U.S. Open.

i'm not sure exactly, but i reckon she's a bit depressed after breaking up with her husband...so she's sad and doesn't feel like facing the outside world a lot.

I have heard from a friend (definitely not official) that her marriage is over. If it's true, that's too bad. I'm not a fan of hers, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

i`m a bit disappointed she is the best womens tennis player but Sharapova is the nicest looking and lets be honest thats the only reason people wathc womens tennis.
