I have a PC and an Xbox 360. I have a very decent spec PC with a X1600 512MB Graphics card. I have played Need for Speed Most Wanted on both, and I have to say that the 360 blows the PC out of the water for a couple reasons. One, the 360 version is built with HD in mind. The PC one wasn't. Two. It takes me literally one minute to start playing the game on my 360 straight out of the box. It takes me a good 10 minutes before I can start playing on the PC because it has to install the whole thing to the hard drive first. All in all, less problems with a console game. Oblivion is the same way. Better on the 360 because nothing to install. Just put in the disc and go. Some of these consoles are nothing more than glorified graphical PCs. What I haven't understood is, why not make a PC game that just lets you put the game in and play? Why waste all this time installing the thing. Plug and play is much faster and easier. Heck if you had the processing power of a PC and the speed of a console, there wouldn't be need for a console would there. Until then, that is why everyone plays consoles. JUST PLAIN EASY TO USE.

This is just my personal opinion, but here are some advantages:
- Consoles are 10x cheaper ($100-300) compared to a good computer ($1000 minimum)
-Never have to go through the pain of install, un-install
-Consoles never crash, lock-up, get viruses, slow down as they get older
-Occasionally you have to upgrade your PC just to make it fast enough to run a game, consoles never upgrade, they come out with new ones, but your old one will always work.
-Some games won't work with certain video cards, etc etc. You have to make sure your PC is compatible to your game
-PC hard drives have limited space, and new games can take multiple GIGS, EACH! Consoles you can own every game there is, worry free (other than the $$$).
-Console game controllers are easier and funner to use. True, computers come with joysticks and some gamepads, but it just doesn't beat the good old Nintendo 64 controller......
-Innovation - Consoles always have new and cool things! The N64 had rumble packs. The GameCube had the microphone for Mario Party. And now the Wii has the remote and nunchuk. There's only so many ways you can use a mouse...
- Multiplayer - Computer allow you to play online with other gamers, but it's not quite the same as sitting on the couch with a good 4 player game and 3 friends.
- Nostalgia - There are a few PC games I would go back to play again, but there is something special about plugging in "Super Mario Bros." for the NES and squashing Mushrooms.... heh heh
I'm not gonna lie, I have a good PC and quite a few games for it, but I've always been a console player.

People play consoles because you don't have issues with hardware compatibility. A console is "current" for anywhere from 5-7 years, while a PC is only good enough to play the best games for a year at best.

many ppl play pc games. they just arnt as advertised as much as the consoles. its a shame really. thousands of great pc games are under over shadowed by up and comming consoles every year. until the pc game developers find a way to advertise on national television, consoles will always stay in the spotlight.

I guess because yu have more of a variety of games and the ease of each game being compatible with joystick or game controller use. Pc games are mostly played by keyboards and they take up alot of space on your hardrive, you have to install more meory, joystick and a good video card.
Well that just my opinion

My family uses my computer, and it crashes, locks, slows down, etc. on a weekly basis. I could only imagine the disaster if I had games stored or saved on it. Plus, I have an HDTV so the xbox360 looks awesome!
