I got a Tama Swingstar kit for Christmas. When I kick the bass drum, my snare rattles. This was a used set, so I don't know if I have something set wrong, if there is something wrong with the snare or if I need to get a new snare wire. Could someone please help? I'm new to drumming. Thanks!

You can tighten the drum head, but this can also change the sound. I'd suggest going to the music shop by your house and ask for a snare drum dampener. It's a tiny little sticky thing (kinda like those stretchy hand things that you get from those quarter machines) that you put on the head of the drum and it absorbs the excess rattle. This is what professional drummers use, just ask for a snare drum dampener and they'll know what you're talking about.

on the snare there is a sort of button that you can twist. twist it torad the side that tightens it and do so that should do it.

A little of that is normal. You can adjust to make it less sensitive.

perfectly normal, mine does that if the radio is too loud so ya its normal, just so long as its not too loud you could always go to your local idk where ever you buy instruments and then ask someone but i think its fine my drumset is brand new and it does that too

good luck
