Is there a reset button?

If you are trying to reset a game, the instructions say that at the initial Nintendo screen, press the L and R buttons under the console and push the cross shaped button at the same time. If its to change any other settings e.g time, user name, press the symbol at the bottom of the lower screen and choose from the icons. I hope the last suggestion isn't teaching you to suck eggs as this answer is not meant to do that.

I think theres one way when it says Nintendo in the beginning hold down the R button it should work I only tryed it on a game so I'm not absolutely sure. Hope I helped though!

Try taking the battery out and leaving it for 10 mins before replacing it.
