There are many knowlegeable politicians who honestly believe that a "surge," or temporary increase in troops will do more damage long-term than the status quo. If they can get congress to go along, there could very well be funding cuts. After all, that is the only real control congress has on an executive branch run wild, which, I believe, is what we have here.

Why are there gullible idiots out there who believe that 9/11 was an inside job? Can't blame Fox for that one.

We all know they won't cut funds for the war, although they will push for a very gradual withdrawl at some point. Some uninformed people don't realize that you are correct, don't mind those fools.

Democrats have a long history of cutting the military budget. Don't believe me look it up. They take money out of the military and put more into the welfare system and raise our taxes to support it. Again, if you don't believe me do a little research. Carter tried to turn the US into a welfare state.
Ever pondered why most minorities vote Democrat, to get more govt. freebies. If you don't believe me.... well you get the picture.

They are the same ones who think that Democrats give all their money to welfare mothers. I've always found it funny that tax-and-spend Democrats spend less than Republicans! (Of course, it is true that the Republicans dont tax, they borrow money and wait for a Democrat to pay it back.)

Because if Congress intends to stop the occupation of Iraq that's they only way it can do it. The same thing it did in 1975 to stop the fighting in Viet-Nam.

They are going to cut the funds but not now. They will do it slowly and gradually and take their time but they are going to do it. That's how they can disable the military and bring it back home.

sit back and wait for it. It will happen. The voted for the war, then didn't vote for equipment. You just don't hear about it from your press, but check the voting records. Its there and its public.
