Glad your not communist. I do believe the State and Federal Governments do need to concentrate more on the homeless problem and especial the poor. A lot of the homeless like it out there and won't except help. But the way the government helps the poor, especially those with no work history, is to give them $623.00 a month to live on. That is below the poverty level.

You did not make a lot of sense in your writing... so by your speech I would say you are a foreigner.

Who ever said we were the Wizard of Oz.. that is only in storybook thinking minds.

In reality, the people in America make it on their own merits and their own drives to work and earn a living. Some prosper and others with less energy or capabilities become less fortunate.

Everyone has the right to an education and then can do with it as they choose.

America.. the place of self made million/billionaires... one kid started out working on computers in his garage.. ???

Others with great minds end up homeless on the streets..

WE ARE A NATION OF CHOICES

Because here in "wonderful wizard of oz", we as a Christian nation are obsessed with the more important concerns to The Traditional Family than people starving and freezing on the streets... like gay marriage, burning books, estate tax breaks for the wealthy, meddling in the affairs of other nations, rewriting history and science books, and fighting the evil environmentalists.

There is not a country on earth that does not have homeless people. Don't forget many of these people are homeless due to their own doings, drugs and not willing to get or keep a job.

Communist or not why are you bashing our country? Do I do that to yours? There will always be homeless people in every country in every era. Some of these people actually don't want to be helped and some could of chosen something different than the streets we have plenty of agencies that take care of these kinds of things. Does your country?!

Point taken. A country should be able to take care of its citizens. Priorities are skewed ($2,000 a second for the war), social programs are not funded, and people turn away...it's not their problem.

And it's not all people who got there through making bad choices--the majority of homeless are women and their children.

I'm not a religious person, but those who are, might be wise to heed this quote from Jesus:

"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

Ever wonder why?

Our money is being methodically stolen while we sleep.

The wonderful Federal Reserve Act of 1913 made it lawful for the international bankers to slip their hand in our pockets and transfer the value of our money directly to them.

The dollar has lost over 95% of its value since that legislation passed.

Now go back to sleep and pretend I'm just some tin-foil hat conspiracy nut.

~I feel sorry for the less fortunate, disabled, poor, homeless, and veterans. We should make our own people our priority!
Just because someone is homeless it doesn't make him/her worthless! Each one has a story, but you can't hear it if you turn a deaf ear!~

People are homeless and on the street in this country because of their own stupidity and their own actions. Why should the government do anything about it? They got themselves there, let them get themselves out of their messes.
