While I know little of the Zen vision's I do know (from personal experience) that the Ipod's are extremely user friendly. Not to mention, most accessories (speakers, car adapters, etc.) are made specifically for Ipods. Therefore with the other MP3 player you would have limited options. Ipods also come with wonderful tech support. If you ever have any problems, you can take it into your nearest Apple store and they will fix it there for free- or give you a new one if it is broken beyond repair, again for free. If it is price you are concerned about, you can order your Ipod from www.apple.com and get a discount if you are a student. Good luck!

The iPod Nano only goes up to 4GB, so it would not be able to hold as many songs as the Creative Zen Vision 30GB MP3 player. A 30GB MP3 player can hold approximately 7,500 songs, so that would be more memory than you would probably ever need, even if you put all your music on it, as opposed to being able to get maybe 900 songs on a 4GB iPod Nano. Creative Zen Vision MP3 players are pretty darned good and are pretty easy to use too -- they work on the same premise as the iPod (Creative Soundworks gives you a software package that you install on your computer that will allow you to load songs on your MP3 player, and it's user-friendly). So if your Dad is going to buy it for you or help you pay for it, I would get the Creative Zen Vision.

iPod is a sort it truly is amazingly conventional and intensely extreme priced. There are MP3 gamers made by Sandisk, Sony, and imaginitive. I easily have even considered some actual time-honored ones, yet i might want to stay faraway from the generics. before everything, i purchased a Scandisk with really 2G of memory, yet I took it lower back and excanged it the subsequent day because i got here across that it change into not sufficient memory. Now, I easily have the Sandisk with 8G of memory. I went with Sandisk, because i'm on a troublesome and quick earnings and may want to't locate the money for the iPod expenses and Scandisk is a fairly strong organization. i do not use iTunes. i exploit Rhapsody, which sounds like this is plenty like iTunes. both way, you'd be able to apply software to placed track that you already own onto the MP3 participant, which ever sort you come to a decision to purchase. inspite of the indisputable fact that, iTunes and Rhapsody is likewise used as a promoting device by different recording lables or perhaps as you're able to download your fashionable songs for your MP3 participant in case you ever favor to burn them onto a CD you may ought to purchase the track and they frequently run round ninety cents each. i wish this allows answer your question. by ways, I easily have a operating laptop or computer too and that i'm utilizing abode windows XP.

Well, it depends on whether you want more space to save music or a physically smaller player that will be easier to tote around in your pocket.
30gb is almost 4 times the size of the 8gb nano. Both will play mp3s with no problems.

I just bought the Vision M 30G and I love it. It's easy to use, you can use other programs to access it, you don't have to use the ones it came with. You can buy your music anywhere online and then if you want to move your music from your Zen to another divice later, you can because they're standard files. It takes all file type, holds pictures, videos, and other computer files, like an external hard drive. I love it and am glad I picked it.
Apple, while having a great package of stuff that goes with is a bit proprietary for my liking when it comes to things like this.

The only drawback to the Ipod is i tunes, the software needed to organize your music. You can not go to another computer and try to organize or download songs to your i pod, other than the computer in which you first loaded your i pod onto.
99% of other mp3 players, like the Zen, allow you to transfer and organize your files on other computers.
