The major road intersection of Main Street and Lackawanna Avenue is called Blakely Corners. It is also where Dickson City, Olyphant and Blakely boroughs intersect.

The large anchor there is from the U.S.S. Wasp, which named after the original Wasp, a tall ship commandered by Cpt. Johnston Blakely in the war of 1812. It was erected there around the time of the US Bicentennial and commemorates this naval hero of the War of 1812 for whom the Borough of Blakely is named.
