the accelleration. The guy at the shop said its nothing he can fix since it only works in the rain he can't tell what the problem is. We tried replacing multiple parts to see if they got water in them but it still does it. any ideas?

most likely distributor, Go out to an area(country road etc.) engine running ,hood up and look for sparking under hood (at night) also try a sray bootle with water and mist the distributor area and see if it tries to stall. just a couple of tips

I dont know if those have a coil pack but that could be it if you did. It is what supplies the power to the distributor which the plug wires are attached to.

first thing switch shops, wet days short out spark plug wires , distributor caps , etc. other electrical connections can be sealed with di-electric silicon, good luck.

You need to look at your Distributor, your Ignition timing and your Spark plugs.

Distributor cap is cracked and letting water in.

get a can of that spray stuff and waterproof everything in the engine compartment
