Typically you only have to pay child support until the age of 18. However, your court paperwork will specify if you have to continue paying until 21 if your child is in college. Look at what the court gave you, read it (for the first time, apparently), and then you'll have your answer.

For example, my father only paid until I turned 18 (he literally threw a party the month I turned 18, and it wasn't for my bday!). However, my father also paid for my ENTIRE college education... I think he totally got the sh*t end of the stick, lol. thanks dad!

Your child support order will state an age of emancipation; it isn't a straight answer for every person because EVERY order is different. Many times emancipation ages are 18 or graduation from Highschool. Please take the time to read your child support order thoroughly for any answers to questions like this.

to anwser your question....NO, child support stops at the age of 18. Doesn't matter if they are going to college they can get financial aid and loans...support stop at 18! It is up the the payee (probally father) to decided whether or not he wants to continue with the c.s. payments!

I do not know how Kentucy laws work but usually, if your child is in college you can't really emanicpate them until they have completed their schooling, so to answer your question, I think you may still have to pay child support.
