Because you are insecure about your relationship, whether you realize it or not.
Right now you view their 3 years together as a threat compared to your 2 months.
I had a girlfriend once that cheated on me and we broke up. After being apart for quite awhile and working on things, we finally got back together and I eventually married her. For the first couple of years I also had dreams of her leaving with old boyfriends and friends. I also would have a dream (recurring) that we were at a party and suddenly I couldn't find her. After looking for her for a long time, I finally located her with someone I identified as a romantic interest (sometimes I recognized them and sometimes not). When I would try and get over to her, the path would always become blocked by people and I couldn't get there. So, I would try to call to her but she would ignore me and eventually they would always leave the party together with me still trying to reach her. I was always very depressed when I woke up, but she was always still there next to me.
And to this day, 13 years later, she's still there. Eventually the dreams stopped as I became secure in the knowledge that she would not repeat her mistake from earlier times.
Just give it time and if you want, discuss it with your new husband. He will reassure you that he doesn't want her anymore, that's why he married you and not her! Your dreams will subside when you feel sure that the new marriage is forever and isn't just until he can get back with her.
You can't worry about whether things will work out -- either they will or they won't. Deal with issues when they actually exist and don't worry about hypothetical "if's".
Good Luck and Congratulations Newlywed!!!

P.S. Don't worry, you will begin to "fight" soon enough. All psychologists agree, that if there is never a fight in a relationship, then someone is compromising all the time and that's not healthy. But for now just enjoy the newly married bliss!!!

It is probably just getting married and all the changes that come with it that is making you have weird dreams. You should talk to him about it. You should start your marriage honestly and build an understanding and trusting relationship from the beginning. He is one of your best friends after all or you wouldn't have married him. I am sure he will understand.

You need to go see someone about your dreams,if you keep them to yourself, they will not go away, but will intensify...and you are right, the least the dreams you are having will do is make your hubby sad,he will worry about you and then you will both have a problem, not good at the start of a marriage built to last!!

I had dreams like that about my ex-boyfriend and for me its because i hated her and she would not leave him and i alone. I think that it just depends what the situation is with her. If they are friends of she just wont leave him alone or she might not even be in the picture.

Maybe deep down you're having some reservation about marrying him. Just talk to him about your dreams and you'll see there's nothing wrong.

You are feeling insecure for some reason. Do they work together or have contact with each other that would make you feel this way? Talk to him and let him know how you feel.

I think you need to pay attention to your dreams. Be independent if this ever happens, so you won't be financially devestated in the aftermath if it ever does so happen. IN otherwords, get a job.

Deep in your mind there is a lack of trust and there must be a reason why.
