I haven't seen anything offensive, this is a matter of personal choice. The same reason some people choose avatars that resemble them.

Well an avatar is supposed to be a representation of your view of yourself. So I guess that makes them shallow, shallow, shallow.
Me on the other hand... I'm deep, thoughtful... (and too fat and ugly to be seen naked in public! LOL!)

I believe this is because those people have a diluted illusion of themselves and need to show off due to lack of self love. I am pissed with the Yahoo avitars cause you can't make them fat, and I am proud of who I am because I love myself and have someone who cares about me.

I don't hide behind a cartoon. I use my real photo. I have a problem with these cartoon avatars, I think they look like children playing dress up, and I think it just encourages pervs and pedos. Besides, they all look alike. There is at least 500 of every combination.

I think they just like to show themselves. Or they just don't mind doing that, and doing all those connecting things and downloading and stuff. I can't be bothered, so I just use this thing yahoo gave me, which doesn't look like me at all.

So. I for one don't see the big deal. I love being naked and don't care if someone sees and if my butt were pert, I may take a picture of it and post it as my avatar....BECAUSE I CAN!!!!
More offended by the Pickaninny and Sambo that photos are so popular in Society & Culture.
