I graduate in a year and a half. I want to attend UAB and become a psychiatrist. I want to do amateur modeling though while in college, and I want to work at HOOTERS. How, in the cheapest way, can I get started modeling?

First of all, working at Hooters is not modeling. Additionally, working at Hooters would be a major deterrent to anyone thinking of hiring you to model for an ad campaign because that is not exactly the most wholesome image.

Also consider that amateur modeling is cheesy and rarely flattering. The pictures taken of you will make you look like trash. When you graduate and are trying to set up your private practice, do you want your slutty glamor pics to surface? I think not.

If you are insistent on using your body to pay for school, why not become a stripper? At least then you will not have photographic evidence.

Try an Agency in and around town, if you have what it takes to be a model they'll probably take you immediately. Good agency's won't ask for cash to do photographs and portfolios so keep that in mind as well. Remember good modeling is good modeling whether your an amateur or not

Go for casting calls. Don't spend your time or money going to modeling schools. What you need is an agency to represent you. Call up agencies, when you get work your agent will take 20% of your earnings. Good luck.
