Me and the guy have been tight since way back. He is charming and sincerely cares about me. Now the tricky part is my entire extended family knows him too. Is it possible to have a future with this man? If so, will I have to confront the cousin and tell her what's really going on? The fact is they are over!

I don't think it's a good idea unless your cousin is ok with it. If she's really over him I don't see why she would care.

No its not OK to date the ex-husband of your cousin, even if you and your cousin aren't getting along!!!!! Blood is thicker than water...if you start dating him you and your cousin will never get along again.
