I work in business admin for a big company... Great Salary, Good benefits and pretty comfortable schedule!!! But it's stressful...
The thing I realize is that this is a "give & take" situation... the more you work, the more you get paid, but the less time you have for family-friends-relaxation-etc... Also, the more you get paid, the more responsabilities you have, the more stressful this is...
So, my advice will be, try to get to a level where YOU are comfortable with the salary, your responsabilities, and your schedule...
Best!

I'm a student part time. Was a receptionist for about 7 years. I now just got hired by a lawyer as a legal secretary. Which works out good because I want to be a paralegal

I'm basically a retired engineer from Silicon Valley. right now I do some work as a mortgage broker, and I do some personal training with some very select clients. but for the most part I'm just buying up foreclosed homes and flipping them..
I work from home..I have zero complaints but I worked my tail off to get to where I'm at by age 38..

Hmm at the moment "i am just hanging around" :), thats my job I guess.
I think the problem with every job is that you cannot always succeed. You lose or win from time to time. The only people who always win are the criminals....so be a criminal :)

Graphic Designer.
It can be alot of fun. Environment (depending) can be very relaxed and creative. Other times it can be crazy-hectic with quick deadlines. If you like multi-tasking you should definitely consider it. It's rewarding to create something truly unique from nothing....but as a graphic designer.....you always have to please your clients (whether you like their brilliant ideas or not).
