Go to the doc and have them do some tests. It could be gall stones or an infection of some kind, like your kidneys, but it could also be your appendix if you haven't had it removed. Make sure you get in within the next 24 hours if possible, especially if the pain persists or gets worse. They will prbably do a heel test and some other things, as well as some x-rays or an ultrasound. If the pain goes away, I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe you just slept on it wrong, but reguardless, trust your body and your instincts and do what you think is best. Pain is a good way of your body telling you something isn't right. Good Luck!

Drake is an A S S, Justin might be right, Could be a simple cramp of a muscle. You may have slept in a way that injured a rib. No matter what it is, I would bet odds that it will go away on it's own in a day or two, Like a crick in the neck. Good luck, and stop givin bj's to drake. LOL Jus kidin.

oh i have the same thing going on with me. Now my rib upper right abdomen hurts. Went to doc, had checkups, and they were suspicious about Gallstones but i didn't have. So nothing got solved. I'm just living with occasional pain in that area all the time. I guess it could be nerve pain. You know, sometimes people have some nerve pain that is not really tied t o anything more serious , it's just the way your body is.
But still get chcked.. You can get checked for Gallstones , or a nerve problem.

You should definitttttttely get checked .. now a days the simplest thing turns into something horrible if not treated. The reason this scares me is because when i was 14 i had pain in my ribs when ever i laughed or talked or coughed and also felt very fatigue ... i went to the ER room .. and found i had cancer [leukemia]. Im telling you go get checked ... i dont mean to scare you but ... WELL I DO MEAN TO SCARE you! lol better safe than sorry!

It sounds musculoskeletal (as opposed to lung or heart - trusting you have no problems breathing). You should try taking 400-800 mg of motrin 3-4 times a day for a week or so. If your curious on specifics, look up costochondritis on the web.

If I understand what you mean correctly, this sort of thing happens to me sometimes. It used to give me quite the scare because I thought there must be something seriously wrong with me. It turned out that a nerve was being pinched and I just needed my back adjusted. It still happens to me from time to time but I can usually get it taken care of with a little self-adjusting.
If you try that and it doesn't work, you should probably see a doctor.

Have you been through any out of place exercise? If you have it's probably just a sore muscle.

Consult your physician. It could go away, or, it could just be a growing pain.
