Past 2 summers I have stayed in a small family run hotel in a short walking distance to the beach and very good restaurants,

As you can see its just a small place, but kept very clean, rooms are nice, and the couple are very very friendly......its at Marmaras Halkidiki though

Have not stayed in Sarantis in Halkidiki, but you can try retrieve impressions of people who stayed there in www.tripadvisor.com. There is a special section with the impressions of people who have visited the places which are of interest to you. Have a go!

im guessing you mean sarantis apartments in hanioti ,havent been there but have been to ouranopolis in mount athos penisula halkadiki
hanioti is a busy resort try looking on www.holidayuncovered.com ,ive checked it has a few reviews on there .
generally halkadiki is lovly place but the transfers are a bit long from the airport ,around 2 hours plus .
