My father. a South Carolinian. never did like them. because they burned our ancesters home down and killed the whole family.he wouldnt even patrinize at a BP station.

It's silly to resent anything, let alone an entire nation full of people. It would be like me (a Pennsylvania native), resenting anyone from the southern U.S. because their state seceded from the Union at some point. Everyone from everywhere has some ancestor that did something awful to someone else. It's much better for us to work together now to heal the wrongs of the past than to resent one another for the sins of our fathers.

That was long ago. Get over it. Britain is no longer an empire, having granted independence to most of their colonies. Today Britain is a bulwark of civilization and a source of highbrow news and entertainment. If not for that, intelligent Americans would go nuts, because our popular culture is basically lowbrow.

I don't really like the Brits but not because of the past wars. There accent annoys me and they need to see a dentist. But i don't like the french or Ireland or really any country, even the USA sucks. Every where just annoys me. I can tolerate them but i cant be by a Brit for more then 30 min before there accent makes me want to punch him so hard he might see a dentist.
