Geez, prescribing tranexamic acid sounds rather excessive unless you have a history of heavy periods. How big of clots are you talking here? They are just fragments of endometrial lining, and are not generally something to be worried about.
I tend to have clots around day 3, for what it's worth. But that's not a scientific thing... I haven't been sitting around and writing them up in a lab notebook:) Tranexamic acid is often prescribed to treat heavy menstrual bleeding... it works by encouraging blood clotting, which may be why you are seeing them now. It's supposed to start working within 2-3 hours.

Hi there i have been on and off tranexamic acid for a year now, the doctor will have prescribed you this because she must feel you are losing more blood than a normal period, which could make you aniemac, it would normally also be given if you have had abnormal bleeding i.e ( more than once a month, plus really heavy), but this medicinde does work in reducing or stopping the amount of blood you use, hope this helps. Good luck xxx

Yes you are perfectly normal!! Your Dr gave you some extreme medication there for only day four! I have huge clots until about day 4/5. The clots are your uterine wall coming away after it has thickened in preparation for pregnancy - when no pregnancy occurs your period starts and your body flushes away the wall for which it has no use. Don't worry sweetie you are perfectly normal and speak again to your GP about those tablets because your periods don't sound excessively heavy or long to me

Our periods are the shedding of the uterine tissue. Clots are very normal. Your MD should have told you this instead of giving you a prescription.
While everyones periods are different, mine are heaviest the first 2 days. That is when I see clots.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.
In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/akhxf
