My friend Rolando was born December 31st at 12:59:57, so he is officially considered being born on New Year's Day, even though he was born the last 3 seconds of 1987, so he celebrates his birthday on New Years Day.

I know two people whose birthdays are on New Year's Eve. One of them is my sister. They say it is great because there is always a party on their birthday. I do think they loose out a little.
