Im thinking of getting a M.A. in marketing/advertising. Just wondering if this is a worthwhile venture. I currently work in the industry.

In Canada anyway, M.A. is short for Master of Arts; MBA is short for Management and Business Administration.

So there are significant differences between the two. M.A. in marketing/advertising has nothing to do with MBA in any way. I can't speak for you because they are so different and I don't know what are your interests and objectives..., so whether the M.A. is worthwhile or not, you will have to make your own decision.

MBA is more well rounded and you get management training. An MA is more sopecialization specific. Go for the MBA
