Free legal advice is worth every penny you pay for it. By the way, you probably are barred by the statute of limitations. How is that for some free legal advice?

You didn't give any specifics, and no one here can give you any advice, at least not advice of any quality, without knowing the specifics of your situation. Getting free legal advice online is probably not going to solve your problem anyway.
If you are low on funds, I would recommend contacting your local or state bar association and asking for a referral to a lawyer. Many bar associations offer a program in which attorneys agree to give people a 30 minute or so consultation for a small fee. Then, if you elect to hire the attorney, you will negotiate the fee with him/her.
As was pointed out above: free legal advice is usually worth what you pay for it.
