During the start of the Washington Presidency, Louis XVI was the King of France. Louis XIV was arrested in 1792 and excuted in 1793. After that, the French Revolution spun completely out of control and several governments were formed during this time, until Napoleon Bonaparte took over France in 1799.

Louis the 16th untill he was beheaded. During Washingtons Presidency we saw the Frence Revolution Beginning in 1789. The Revolution, Like ours would succeed in gaing freedom for the French, but would also bring Napoleon Bonaparte To power, whom was a King in his own Right (Emporer Actually).

It was Louis the 16th, who was beheaded with Marie Antionette in 1789. The next in line was Napoleon the first who proclaimed himself the "emperor".
