I've got all but 2 sets of Net lights and a rope light already taken down, cleaned, and most are already bagged up and put back in the cabinets. I've done a little every day since 2 Jan 07 ... (I always start on 2 Jan) ... and this works out very well for me. I make sure all the bulbs are working, that the set is clean, and ready for Next Christmas Display!

Christmas Tree if real as soon as it starts to become a fire hazard. If not real, Christmas tree after January 6--Three Kings Day or at least until January 2 after New Year's Day if you don't celebrate Three Kings Day and just like being festive. February 3 for the Nativity if you Celebrate Candlemas on February 2. If you don't celebrate after December 25 and you aren't festive then I guess you can toss out the old tree and put everything away on December 26th and be done with it until next year. It really all comes down to taking them down when it is right for you. Just please don't be one of those people who leave their lights on all year long, because they are too lazy to take them down.

I believe it's all in each individuals preference. I take mine down after the New Year. Jan 2. My Mother takes hers down the day after Christmas. I guess because after the gifts are all given theres no need she says to keep it up. So I think it's what ever you think is right for you. I would hope before July though (smile)

Anything after January 6 is considered late, maybe Jan 10 if your household makes a big deal of 3 Kings Day. A few (anal retentive) condo associations and uptight towns have actual regulations, but usually it's a matter of when you get around to it.

This is done by my own personal preference, so what I usually do is take everything down the day after Christmas.
