In my opinion I think that you should speak with teacher after class or after school and revisit the situation and explain why you were not at fault. Taking a respective stance usually helps. If this does not help the situation, its best that you ask your parent to come in with you and speak with the principal and teacher together.
I hope this helps.

If I had a nickle for every time I've heard a kid say this one! It happens a FEW times, I imagine, but not as often as students say that.
If it sincerely happened to you, I would quietly let the teacher know it was not actually you, but "Billy" who was supposed to go to detention or whatever. Unfortunately, you still might end up going for something you didn't do.

As a teacher, I admit that sometimes I forget who I have to discipline--i.e. give lunch detention to etc. I find that if I have a child who finds themselves in your situation, I would like for them to respectfully tell me that it wasn't them. The key word here is RESPECT. Your teacher probably has alot going on in her mind at one time and it does get hard to remember who she has in punishment and who isn't.

Give the teacher a chance to redeem himself, then use the resources at your disposal.

3.Did ..... ( .. is the guy that did it) pay you money just to call me instead of him.
