This isn't quite the right question to ask.

To study pediatrics, you have to go to college for four years and then medical school for four years before taking on a specialty in your residency. In other words -- you have ten years to worry about getting into the best pedatric program.

The question you should ask now is what college will get you into a good medical school. The answer is -- go to the best college that you can get into. There are all kinds of rankings for schools -- but if you can get into any top tier university (e.g., any Ivy League school, top tier private schools like Duke, Stanford or Chicago, or any top state university like Berkeley, Michigan or Virginia). Look at US News for a list of top universities.

Once there, you can start thinking about the best medical school to go to. Once you get close to graduating, then you should ask your medical school professors about the best pediatric residencies.

For now -- just think about a good college.

It's a bit early to start think about which med school has the best pediatrics program. After high school, you need to go to college for an undergraduate degree. For those wanting to go into medicine, it is usually biology, chemistry, or something related. Toward the end of college, you would apply to medical school to study to become a doctor. After that you would become a resident and specialize in a medical field, like pediatrics. You have another 5 years or so before you would apply to med school, so it would be a better idea to look for colleges. A great source for information is collegeboard.com. Good Luck!

Any container in drugs would take an same instructions in undergraduate and medical college. it really is once you're taking USMLE (physican's license) do you opt for what container you opt for to bypass into. Hunter college has a good pre-med advisory crew; they get you heading in the right direction and keep on with you in the course of your years and help you confirm what MCAT score to attempt for, then help you confirm what med colleges to video demonstrate to. the basically negative problem about Hunter is they don't have a "pre-med" significant. so as meaning you would possibly want to take the requirement classes that medical colleges opt for (bio, chem, organic and organic chem, physics, effortless calculus, etc.) as well for your effortless requirement route (humanities, english, sociology, etc.) AND the classes that fulfill your significant requirement. This does not be that undesirable in case you opt for to significant in something like biochemistry through the indisputable fact that would want to overlap with the pre-med classes. yet in case you opt for to significant in English and minor in biology, it would probable take you longer and also you does not graduate on time.
