I heard that minimum wage was being raised in 2007. Is this true? If it is, how much will it be and when does this take place?

The federal minimum wage is established by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). It has not been updated since the early to mid '90's so the minimum wage for all businesses that federal law applies to is still $5.15 per hour. There is some discussion that this year's congress will elect to amend the FLSA to increase the minimum wage, but it hasn't happened yet. For more information, you can go to www.dol.gov or call 1-866-4US-WAGE.

Your individual state's minimum wage may be higher. Contact your state labor department or your Lietenant Governor's office (look in the blue/government pages of your local phone book) to get more information.

Need more information. What state do you live in. Not all states have a minimum wage. There is a federal minimum wage that is in affect for federal jobs but there is not federal mandate. Like California is now $7.50 it did raise from $7.25 Use the search engine and find your states minimum wage.

I don't think the federal minimum wage is increasing but individual states have passed laws increasing THEIR minimum wages. My state (Ohio) just passed an increase.
