Map sensors monitor the absolute pressure in intake manifold.This is used by the engine management system to tell the throttle body injector how much and how often to inject fuel.the result would be that the engine management system would not know how much and how often to inject fuel giving the symptoms you describe Mick UK

If you have your sensors scanned on a computer scanner it will test all your sensors and save the guesswork and wasted money swapping parts. NEVER replace ANY part till you know the problem
