If your Best friend likes a guy is it ok to like him too?

This can happen sometimes with friends and it's not uncommon. One thing you both need to find out is which one of you does he like back?
Either way both of you should be good enough sports to realize that it's also his decision on who he likes first.
If he likes either one of you or both then it becomes quite a dilemma because then it becomes more difficult and the worse thing to do is complete and make it into a competition thing.
If that happens sit down and discuss it and maybe you can come to some agreement where as he would have to choose between the two of you and that if this were the case that both of you would accept the fact that only one of you can be dating him.
The worse thing to do is to get caught up in some love triangle where as you fight over this guy or with each other as friends. This can happen and the best thing to do is think what matters more to you this guy or your friendship?

We all have the freedom to like whoever we want to like. If it is also your friend's crush, it is still 'okay.' It will just cause some problems in the future when the friend finds out. So in a way, people can interpret this in different ways. In my opinion, however, it is okay to like the same guy as your friend.

It can cause problems between you and your friend if he likes one of you. The other will only get hurt. Potentially, it can destroy your friendship, but if neither of you care too much if he likes you back then it's probably ok. I'd try to stay away from it though.

I have had that experience, I learnt that in love and war, there are no rules!! Of course it is okay to like him! He is not taken as yet! Make sure you tell your friend before you plan to do your move ok because after all she is your friend!

I think that's fine if your friend says no you can't like him thats a little selficios. If your friend started going out with that guy and she said you couldn't like him that would make sense so as along as she's not going out with him.

yes just so if one of you decided to date him then make sure with the other friend that it would be alright.
