First of all: I don't believe that saying someone is cute when others think they are not is a lie.
Second: All human beings are beautiful, inside and out. Retarded or not, everyone has their own beauty in them.
Third: To say that it is a sin to share some love by saying something nice (lie or not) is in itself a sin by means of criticism. Judging the reasons someone had to say something is a Sin.

All retarded children aren't ugly. Just because they may be slow doesn't mean their physical appearance is altered. Now when there is an ugly baby there is an ugly baby and then I will say and not to their or their parents face that baby is ugly so I am not lying lol. I was told to say what a sweet baby to any unatractive baby...then your not lying. Who's to say that just because the baby is retarded that he/she is not cute just for the simple fact that its a human. May not always be a lie. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Its only a sin if you're lying. if the baby is actually cute and you say its cute...theres nothing wrong with that. And what may be an ugly baby to one person, may be an adorable baby to another. Its an opinion...think about it.

I would have to disagree with you even though I am a Christian. God is our creator and we are all called to love one another. Yes, it might be difficult to look at a retarded baby or any person that look at someone who is different.
I do understand your point because we might be quick to judge in our mind but not say it someone verbally. God is our judge!

Every child is cute and precious because they are also created in the image of God just as we adults are. God created humans after his own image, so therefore, babies, retarded or not, are cute, so I wouldn't consider it a lie.
