I guess because they are always in the media, we somehow feel a connection with them. Very silly isn't it?

I do not know- but what is interesting is that I saw something on the VIEW one time where JOY was talking about an article (which I happened to see as well--the article)- stated that Gorilla Apes or monkees also idolized the apes in their world that were in some category equivalent to celebrities. Do not even ask how the study was done- but it made sense and everyone laughed at the craziness. Apparently some study was done and this was found to also happen in the ape world- and again, not sure how the test or study was done- maybe the social group was idolized by the outsiders, not sure- but it was a whole topic- something about himan nature and voids in life and attraction-I might google it now to find the article

To be honest, I don't look up to any celeb and wish I was like them. Most of them set bad examples to younger audiences and try to play the "right" side when it comes to a national issues. Just look at girls who have eating disorders because they look up to Hollywood actresses and models they see in magazines. I don't think celebs are going to care if you diet and weigh less than 100 pounds. Now, when it becomes a major issue across the world, these same celebs want to change sides and promote that curves are in. It's just plain pathetic how people buy into all this nonsense and see celebs as gods when they are nothing but snakes who care nothing but for your money.
I can't imagine years from now, if a celeb runs for president. I guarantee you, celeb worshipers would be going crazy and try to get the whole country to go with the celebs ideals. That'll be the day I'll leave America.

Some of them take us away from reality if they're very good in their roles. I guess that makes many of us like some of them so much. Once you meet them, you realize they're no different from us. Just people.
I do realize that some people are true fanatics and are obsessed with some stars. I admit I have one little obsession, but not so much as I used to. I've already met him, and he's just a person who happens to act to feed his family. However, I still LOVE that wonderful character he portrayed.

Yes they are people like you and me and they like treated that way.
And yes truly I knew/ know a few some of them are very down to earth it's just the way not everyone can be trusted and that's why some have body guards, the ones I know don't need that there martial arts experts and I feel very safe with them.
