Can you help me figure out what this reoccurring dream means?

In the dream I am having a party. All my guests are relaxed, comfortable, and having an excellent time. Everyone is playing musical instuments (guitars, hand drums, fiddles, etc), talking, and having a blast. This is the odd part... the people at the party are friends that I've known throughout my entire life. Most do not know each other, as I've moved around a lot in this lifetime. Some at the party have already died... yet they are living and well in my dream.

Odd, hey? It feels like there is something I should know from this dream... I've had the same dream 5 times over the past 3 weeks. Any input?

It could even be something like a subconcious wish to have a party (like people have wakes and funerals and back-to-the-house situations where there is talking and laughing) and say good-bye to everyone from your past.

Not that I know anything, but I'm leaning toward thinking you have a need to unify what seems like a fragmented life to you. I reserve the right to be wrong, of course.
