I've tried cressing Ctrl+PrintScreen|SysRq, but if it does actually take a screen shot, where does it go... I can't find it. There's a trick to do it, what is it?

Well, after you press it open up something like Paint and Ctrl+V (paste) it.

Just press the Print Screen | SysRq button. It copies exactly what you see to the clipboard. Then, just open Paint or any image editing program and press CTRL+V to paste it. If you want to take a screenshot of just the current window, press ALT+Print Screen.

When you press Print Screen the screen shot goes into a memory area called the Windows Clipboard. Simply open a picture processing program and do a Ctrl+V (or select Edit/Paste) and the screen shot will appear in the picture program's workspace. Then you can "Save As" a bitmap, .jpg, or whatever.

When you do the Printscreen , it puts a copy in the clipboard. Bring up your notepad, word processing or other software and paste it.

Windows xp handles printscreen and cntl+printscreen the same, you get a copy of your entire desktop, windows and background.

It places the screen shot into your clipboard...

Open Paint (start => run => "mspaint" => ok)

editb => paste

Note: if you want to capture an image for the full screen, press the button alone, if you want to capture the active window only, press +

Enjoy ;)

You just need to press PrintScreen and go to word or what ever program you are using and paste...

Not CTRL + PrintScreen...

You don't need to press Ctrl

Print Screen takes a snapshot of the screen and just puts it on the clipboard. From there you can paste it into any app.

Hit Print Scrn; it *Copies* the desktop.
- Then open up Adobe Photoshop or MS Paint (on a PC)
- Then File / New / Enter
- *Paste* into the new file.
Your desktop will appear. You can save and edit it in the graphics program.
