Between his coaching and playing careers, I'd say so.

I have lived in Pittsburgh most of my life and as well have been a big Steeler fan. Recently I have moved to Charlotte, NC and there has been a lot of big news about because he bought a home in Raleigh, NC. This is where his wife is from, this is where he meet her and where they both went to college at NC State. Recently the NC State coach was fired and no one has been hired as of yet. Coincidental, I am not sure but he would be taking a pretty hefty pay cut to coach for college vs nfl. But he once mentioned a very, very long time ago that he always wanted to coach for his alma mater. Go figure GO STEELERS Also did you know that it is very odd for a coach to last more than five seasons with the same team. I would say that he has done his time and it is time for him to move on for the next era to take place. Remember the Rooney's are not going to let just anyone coach the Steeler's. The Steeler's organization is the last organization that is not only still owned by the same family as day one, but that it never had sponsorship from a corporation. It is still just a mom and pop organization and I think that the Rooneys will keep it that way for many years to come.

Absolutly. Just like Chuck Noll he has became the name and face of the Steelers. It wont be the same watching the black and gold and not seeing Cowher Power roaming the sidelines. Im very thankful for what he did for the Steelers and for Pittsburgh, he should one day end up in Canton with all of the other greats.

Yes, lame question. Give Lynn Swann's spot to Cower, that's a Steeler who rode the coattails to his spot.

Yes, but we may have to wait years until the electors really believe he has retired for good. A guy coming back after enshrinement, like Joe Gibbs, could make them very hesitant.

Yes. He has had success as the Steelers head coach over a sustained period. The Superbowl was the cherry on the cake.

It may take until the second time. But, he may come back and coach for a while longer. Youknow how it is. These guys have a passion for football and coach well into their 70s.
