it makes them really angry? I can hear my boyfriend swearing his head off but he continues until he is so cross he wants to smash it up...

do not worry about it so much. Because if he does actually smash the system up he will no longer be able to play games and lesson has been taught. Besides all those times when women say men show no passion or emotion towards anything let this be proof of your being wrong. Just not what you want it to be over but it goes to show men have it still, nonetheless. If he seems to get too out of hand though, just tell him cool it, calm down, or whatever you can think of to get his little tantrum down because he is stuck on a hard part in the game.

Basically, we do it because we probably have been playing he game for a while and have found it very exciting! When we get into a difficult area of the game, lose and continuously have to start again and again, it angers us. We're angry at ourselves! We do get it in the end and soon return to happiness! Don't worry about your brother!

If it's a level that we really want to beat, we're frusterated and keep playing because we really want to unlock the features of the game.
Sometimes we just forget that the game is unimportant and it doesn't apply to our life and we get mad.
If I get so frusterated that I get bored (From playing a crappy game to playing multiplayer with a million snipers) I will turn of the console.

Guys are generally hot and therefore wants something to keep their blood boiling all the time. Game consoles is one such challenge.

Its all a macho thing. They play to win and when they dont, they get madd. Really mad. But of course they try again later until they win.
