10,448 yards career plus more than 5,000 yards receiving. Certainly on the low-end of Hall of Fame backs.
However, he walks from the game at 31, after a 1,600 yard plus season and three straight over 1,500 yards. At the top of his game, which is when he walked, Barber is clearly a top-3 back, and until Tomlinson's outburst this year, Barber had a legitimate claim on being the best in the NFL last year (yes, he was better than Alexander last year).
Plus, in a time when being a crybaby, thug or jerk is fashionable, Tiki is a class act.
I say open the Hall for one of the great backs of his generation.

One of the keys for Tiki is not any one stat but his accumulation of several impressive stats. His yards per carry are up there with the top three backs to ever play the game. His Yards from Scrimage both carrer and single season are impressive. He has the most yrds from scrimmage for any back who rushed for 1,500 yds or more in a single season. He has the second all time YFS stat behind Marshall Faulk. He is tied for 2nd for the most 1500 + yrd seasons. He is a Hall of famer when taken as a whole.

He has been a great running back but is, as you said, at the low end of Hall of Fame backs. Personally the fact that Tiki Barber has class and is a decent person means a heck of a lot more than his stats. Look at some of the other stars in this league, like Merriman, TO, and Vick, and tell me how many of them are class acts. If they win the Super Bowl, he will probably get in, if not, probably not.

I wouldnt assume it. he's an incredible back, notwithstanding no assessment with LT. He post some good numbers yet, I dont think of theyll positioned him interior the expert soccer corridor of recognition, the place gamers like Jim Brown, Jerry Rice, Lawrence Taylor, and Joe Montana are remembered. Hes a competent participant, yet I dont think of he will circulate to the corridor. i'll declare that the Giants would not have even thought approximately making the playoffs this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days without him. perhaps if he have been to play for slightly longer, it is form of questionable why he's retiring. base line, I wouldnt be suprised if he made it, yet I dont assume it. His call is Tiki so, you gotta supply him some credit.

Tiki is good, but not great. I root for him, he has class, but Hall of Fame, no way. Tiki has never been looked at as the best back in a season, except by biased Giants fans.

Great guy, but only a good back. Giants Hall of Fame, yes, Pro-Football Hall of Fame, no.

Without a SB at this point in his career, I'd say no
If he were to play even 2 more years or win a SB ring, then I think he'd be a lock.

I'm sure in about 20 years, he'll be a finalist, but I don't think he'll get in

what the hell? people are getting confused with barry sanders if he retires early he will be a hall of famer or anything? haha he has not even gone to the NFC championships besides he is not that good to be in the hall of fame if they put people like him in the hall of fame then there will be to many people in the hall of fame and we will forget them.

Ask again after the Super Bowl. If the Giants win it helps his case.

Don't believe me, ask Lynn Swann.

Absolutely! He is the best out there right now - one of the best ever. He still has a few more good years left in him. I hope he decides not to retire.
