Yeah, not to burst you bubble but good time is a level a year. That would put you at level ten when your 23. AND Thats for someone with a ton of natural talant. Once you hit 7 it's even harder to do a level a year. My best advise is to condition and strech everyday. Don't let anyone give you an exact # of pushups or whatever when conditioning. My genral rule for me and for when i'm coaching do it till it hurts then 5 more. BEST way to get strong fast! I do it every day!!! Remember is you dream it you can do it! Good luck!!!!!!

Yes and no. If you're just looking to have fun with the sport and don't have the goal in your mind of one day making it to the Olympics or competing on a D1 college team (which at the rate things are going, we'll only have D1 teams left in another 4 or 5 years) then yes gymnastics is fine to start at age 13. You have to keep in mind that you'll be very far behind the other girls your age, but don't let that disappoint you. Go in, and give it your all. Just keep in mind, the sport will require a lot of practice, and dedication/sacrifices. I gave up a LOT for this sport when I was in High School, and even more for it when I came to college. Get ready to be sore (in a good way heh) like you never knew possible! :) And remember, in this sport.. Form means everything! Just because a skill is easier to do with bent legs, flexed feet and otherwise no other form, doesn't mean you should do it! Spend more time getting the skill down so you can do it right.

I have been doing gymnastics for a while like about five years. It isn't so easy to start at the age 13. It is alot harder then it seems. I am only in level 8. It takes hard work and believeing. But i am sorry to say it by the time you actually made it to level ten you would probably be in your 20's and by then u would probably want to focus on your studies.

Sorry to say, no. Because successful people started back at age 5+ and you're at the prime age, not starting age. It's a tough sport when they consider 19 yr olds to be seniors. Take up soccer! Better for you and your knees. Gymnastics is hard on the body and most end up with knee or back problems.

Good luck. Unfortunately 13 is pretty late to be starting gymnastics. I started when I was 10 and had to give it up when I was around 13 because my body was changing.

I think it is great that you picked and activity that you like. I think that any one person can do anything they put there mind too. You will have to work very hard to do that but, speak to your coaches and your parents and tell them your goal so that you can reach your goal in a safe and healthy manner with there support and the correct training you can do anything!
Go for your dreams!
Good Luck!!

I started Late though, and I was able to go to competitions in like, a year or two! That's pretty good for an eleven year old!!!!!! Well, if you just believe in yourself and practice hard, you can end up like me and going to competitions in no time.
