When I went to college it was more to get away from home and I enjoyed the social life. Now, years and years later I look back and see what I can do that some people I know can't. I never thought I would be married and have kids and then get divorced. I am able to provide a home car and many activities because I have degrees which let me earn enough money. Minimum wage jobs just aren't enough!
I know sooo many people who are stuck in marriages because they never furthered their education and would have a tough time going it on their own. Others who tried to go to school while raising a family- do-able but tough!!!
I tell my children to get a career then a family.. don't know if they'll listen..good luck!
( college isn't the only choice, there are other technical schools and other businesses but furthering education beyond H.S. is really helpful in the job market- it shows you can stick with something too)

super question! whilst i became in excessive college, our guidance counselor instructed us that we'd elect a school degree to even get a rapid food job! of direction it incredibly is bunk. as quickly as I graduated college I had a complicated time looking a role because of the fact all the get admission to point jobs needed those with at maximum a 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days tech college guidance. i became rejected for being 'over qualified'. some months later i got here across a role at a economic enterprise. A 3 hundred and sixty 5 days later considered one of my greater annoying supervisors laughed at me whilst he got here across I had a school degree. He sneered, "nicely isn't THAT humorous. You went to college, i did not and now i'm YOUR boss." That became 5 years in the past. Now because of the fact of my degree i'm 3 ranges above an identical guy who's caught interior an identical job he had as quickly as I met him. He has no probability for progression as a results of basically a excessive college degree. He utilized for an identical job I did yet became close out as a results of his loss of guidance. So the moral of THIS tale is; guidance grants alternatives and possibilities. perhaps not at this time out of school yet interior the long-term it shows employers you may set targets and accomplish them.

I went to college and got my BA in History and I am glad I did. It made me educated. From there I got my MA in Special Ed which got me a good job. Either way I am glad. Education opens your mind. Once you become educated you will want more and you learn to educate yourself.
