can you add win. 98 x p pro?
Your question is kind of strange, but I'll try anyway--
You either have a computer with windows 98 on it, and want to load XP pro, which is a bad idea. If the machine still has win98 on it, it is probably too old to run XP, and even if it can handle it, you will gain almost nothing by doing so. If the 98 machine is running slowly, go into the start menu, pick 'startup' and delete everything in the list, reboot, and it should be back up to speed.
If on the other hand, you have a windows XP machine, and want to know if you can load windows 98 onto it as well, then all you have to do is create a partition, format it in dos, and load windows 98 onto it. You will need to create a boot partition that will allow you to choose 98 or xp when you boot though.
Also, unless you are doing serious networking and need to assign different levels of security to folders and stuff, you don't need XP pro, XP home will suffice for nearly 99% of normal users.

I'm not sure what exactly you are asking. If you are asking if you can upgrade from Windows 98 to Windows XP, the answer is yes.
