In my experence, and I have been all over the country, the weather channel's 10 day forecast is usually inaccurate. Heck, the 3 day forecast was always wrong, especially in the winter months, when weather changes much faster. Also, when it says rain, it almost always means a 30 or 40 percent chance for the day, because the weather channel will put the rain symbol in there even if there is just a slight, down to just 20% chance for rain. An example: Many times, the weather channel will say a cold front will stall to the north of us, and will have us in the 70's for highs and sun, but the front does not stall - and we get a drizzle rain and 40's. Of all the weather sites I have been too, weather channel has been among the last accurate. For the best forecasts, nothing beats local weather coverage, although they are wrong sometimes too.

You will be lucky if such a forecast is even 1% accurate. The standard of forecasting in the UK at the moment (and has been for the past couple of years) is appalling. You will be lucky if you get accuracy for a 24 hours forecast. Good luck...
