On the sims 2 the maxmotives cheat wont work.....?

I've tried it before and it works, but recently when I try it, the cheat box just expands and nothing happens. I cant remember if it was MaxMotives or maxmotives. . :S please help!

The cheat is maxmotives. Capital letter don't matter.
